Following a win against the Broncos, Arizona reverted back to its losing ways in Carolina.

PASSING OFFENSE: D -- QB John Skelton completed barely half his passes and had a costly interception. The Cardinals dropped three passes and Skelton fumbled once when pressured. Larry Fitzgerald had 125 yards receiving but much of that came late.

RUSHING OFFENSE: D -- The Panthers stacked the line of scrimmage with defenders and the Cardinals could never create a crease. Carolina won the battle up front, and neither Tim Hightower or Beanie Wells did a good job of making cuts or setting up blocks.

PASS DEFENSE: B -- Carolina QB Jimmy Clausen was more of a caretaker than a playmaker but that's all he had to do to win. The Cardinals sacked him twice but didn't have an interception.

RUSH DEFENSE: D -- The Panthers rushed for 96 yards in the first half, including 35 yards on the first play. The Cardinals were manhandled up front in the first half but finally stiffened in the second.

SPECIAL TEAMS: F -- Two failed onside kicks. Two costly penalties on returns. No big plays from the kickoff or punt return teams.

COACHING: D -- The Cardinals are playing with zero confidence, and this coaching staff has not been able to manufacture any. This team seems lethargic at times, but maybe that's just how lethargic teams work. Coaches have tried most everything and nothing has worked.
