Fitzgerald honored to tie Green's record
"It's an honor for me because I have had a great personal relationship with Roy over the years," Fitzgerald said. "He took me under his wing and taught me so much about the nuances of the game and I'm very appreciative of that relationship.
"Just to be mentioned with him, it's really an honor."
Fitzgerald has more receptions against Seattle (88) than any other team.
--Quarterback Kevin Kolb is ranked second in the NFL behind Aaron Rodgers in passer rating for the fourth quarter. Kolb's rating is 143.8. He has passed for 205 yards and two touchdowns in the quarter.
--Penalties hurt the Cardinals last week. They committed 10 of them, including six on defense. "You talk about some penalties at the wrong time," said defensive end Vonnie Holliday, who came to the Cardinals in the Hightower trade. "You work hard to get people in third and long, and then..you do something to continue to the drive.
"It is not something that is Xs and Os, but just a mental breakdown and that is tough."
--Tight end Jeff King has touchdown receptions in each game. Last year the Cardinals' tight ends did not score. King is one short of a career high. He had three touchdowns for Carolina in 2009.
BY THE NUMBERS: 23-3 - That's the Cardinals' record under Whisenhunt when leading after three quarters. One of those three losses came last week against the Redskins.
QUOTE TO NOTE: "When did we play good defense the whole day, as opposed to late in the game? That's an area we've got to improve. Look at how the whole day went, we didn't slow them down. That's not good enough. That's something we've got to improve on." -- Coach Ken Whisenhunt when asked about his team giving up an 8-point lead in the second half last week.
SERIES HISTORY: 25th regular-season meeting. Cardinals lead, 13-11, but lost both games last season to the Seahawks. The Seahawks are just one of four franchises the Cardinals have a winning record against. The others are the Falcons, Saints and Titans. Turnovers cost the Cardinals dearly against the Seahawks last season. They lost four fumbles in Seattle. It was Max Hall's second start at quarterback and he completed just 4 of 16 passes for 36 yards.
