PLAYER NOTES
--OLB O'Brien Schofield could see some action as a specialty pass rusher. The team needs to get him on the field so he can develop.
--RB/KR LaRod Stephens-Howling is back returning kicks after missing time with a hand injury. His replacement, A.J. Jefferson, did a solid job. But Jefferson is a starter so the team probably wants to control his use on special teams.
--TE Rob Housler caught three passes for 25 yards against the Vikings, and should have had more. He was open for a touchdown and again down the seam, but QB Kevin Kolb missed him. Housler dropped another pass.
--CB Patrick Peterson is cousins with Steelers CB Bryant McFadden.
--NT David Carter will be facing his brother, Chris, a linebacker with the Steelers. Both were selected in the draft last spring. Chris was taken by the Steelers in the fifth round, and David was selected in the sixth.
--RB Beanie Wells is tied for second in the NFL with six rushing touchdowns. Adrian Peterson of the Vikings is first with seven, thanks to his three-touchdown effort against the Cardinals a week ago.
INJURY IMPACT
--TE Todd Heap is still missing time because of a hamstring injury sustained in practice two weeks ago. He didn't play against the Vikings and missed some practice this week. He will be questionable.
--OLB Joey Porter continues to miss practice time with a knee ailment. Porter usually plays, but he's not playing well.
