RB Beanie Wells set a franchise record for rushing yards a week ago, rookie LB Sam Acho is excelling and more inside.

--Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald teased Beanie Wells, calling him "Paul Pierce", the Celtics player who left an NBA Finals game with a knee injury only to return later in perfect health. Wells has been nursing a knee injury, and he went down in the fourth quarter against the Rams after getting the joint twisted. After his return, Wells busted a 53-yard run, setting up a field goal that proved to be the final margin.

"He Paul Pierced us, and he got caught from behind twice on two long runs," Fitzgerald said. "But we still love him. And there isn't anybody we'd rather have back there running the ball for us."

--Rookie outside linebacker Sam Acho had two sacks Sunday, giving him five for the season. He has started the last five games.

"It doesn't take very long to figure out when you're around Sam how smart he is," coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "He's got athletic ability, but he makes plays because he understands where he needs to be and what he needs to do. What a good young man and a good young player."

--Patrick Peterson was "very, very surprised" that the Rams punted to him in the third quarter. The 55-yard kick from Donnie Jones was in the middle of the field. Peterson returned it for his fourth touchdown this season. "My hat goes off to the 10 guys in front of me," Peterson said. "Those guys definitely made it possible for me to continue running balls back."
