--QB Kevin Kolb is on track to play on Sunday against the Cowboys. He's taken the majority of snaps with the starting unit this week.
--OLB Joey Porter practiced on Thursday for the first time in more than a month. Porter's knee injury has improved but he might be a week or so away from returning. When he is back, Porter won't start. That's Sam Acho's job now.
--OLB Sam Acho had two sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in the victory over the Rams last week. A fourth-round pick from Texas, Acho has started the last five games.
--FS Kerry Rhodes had the cast removed from his injured foot and has started rehab work. It's hoped that Rhodes can return this season but it's not a given.
--WR Jaymar Johnson was promoted from the practice squad, giving the Cardinals seven receivers on the roster. Coach Ken Whisenhunt won't say how he intends to use his backup receivers.
