The Lions and Bears face-off in the Game of the Week as Jim Poore is back with his weekly picks column against the spread.

There are some good matchups to forward to this, as well as a game in London. This is also the start of the bye weeks. Let's get right to the picks.

San Francisco 3 ST LOUIS
The 49ers are a mess on and off the field. They desperately need to win this game and they will.

49ers 24-13

Pittsburgh 1 Minnesota ( In London )
The Steelers are a bad team right now. When was the last time that was said? Their terrible season continues with a loss across the Atlantic.

Vikings 20-17

Baltimore 3 1/2 BUFFALO
The Bills could act as pests this year but the Ravens will take this one.

Ravens 21-16

Cincinnati 5 CLEVELAND
The Browns aren't nearly as good as they showed last week. The Bengals might be.

Bengals 26-14

Indianapolis 8 1/2 JACKSONVILLE
It was a solid victory for the Colts last week. They will have no trouble against the hapless Jags.

Colts 30-13

Seattle 3 HOUSTON
The Texans are inconsistent and can't be trusted, but this will be a big win for Houston.

Texans 23-21

TAMPA BAY 3 Arizona

Tampa Bay should be ready to win. It might as well be this week against the Cardinals.

Buccaneers 24-20

KANSAS CITY 4 New York Giants
Who would have imagined one of these teams would be 4-0 and it’s not the Giants.

Chiefs 27-17

TENNESSEE 4 1/2 New York Jets

The Titans will give teams fits this year. The Jets will give their fans fits.

Titans 28-14

Dallas 2 SAN DIEGO
Tony Romo is playing well right now. That's because it's September.

Chargers 24-23

DENVER 11 Philadelphia
The Broncos are rolling right now. They will here too.

Broncos 31-20

ATLANTA 1 1/2 New England
The Patriots schedule of cupcakes is over.

Falcons 26-17

NEW ORLEANS 6 Miami
The Dolphins will keep this fairly close, but Drew Brees and New Orleans will prevail.

Saints 33-24

Game of the Week

DETROIT 3 Chicago

A battle for the top spot in the NFC North and Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson will be too much for the Bears.

Lions 29-23

Stinker of the Week

Washington 2 1/2 OAKLAND
The Raiders are bad, but the Redskins are worse.

Redskins 20-16

Record For Week Three: 8-7-1 (9-7 without spread)
Record Through Week Three: 19-26-3 (33-15 without spread)
Game of Week Record: 2-1
Stinker of Week Record: 1-2
