Gators in the NFL: Week Four

Wright has intercepted a pass the last two weeks

There were 21 former Gators active during week four of the NFL and nine of them earned the start. Major Wright recorded an interception for the second straight week and Jeff Demps made his NFL debut.

Carlos Dunlap continued his strong season, starting at defensive end for the Cincinnati Bengals and producing four tackles, two tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks and two quarterback hits.

Major Wright started at strong safety for the Chicago Bears and had one interception for the second straight week. He added six tackles and one pass breakup. Jon Bostic saw time at linebacker and made one tackle on special teams.

Matt Elam made his third straight start for the Baltimore Ravens at free safety and made six tackles. Deonte Thompson saw his first action of the season and had four catches for 50 yards.

Ahmad Black saw time at safety for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and had three tackles. Jeff Demps made his NFL debut at running back, making one carry for 14 yards and one catch for eight yards. He returned three kicks for 69 yards.

Jeremy Mincey saw time on the defensive line for the Jacksonville Jaguars and made one tackle to go along with two quarterback hits. Josh Evans made his first career start at free safety and had five tackles with one pass breakup.

Joe Haden started at cornerback for the Cleveland Browns and made four tackles with two pass breakups.

Sharrif Floyd saw time at defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings and made one tackle, 0.5 sacks and one quarterback hit.

Mike Pouncey started at center for the Miami Dolphins. Caleb Sturgis hit a 34-yard field goal and has hit all seven field goals of his season. Jelani Jenkins saw time at linebacker and had one assisted tackle and one tackle on special teams.

Ray McDonald started at defensive tackle for the San Francisco 49ers and made two tackles, one tackle for a loss and one quarterback hit.

Andre Caldwell saw time at wide receiver for the Denver Broncos and made one catch for five yards.

Brandon Spikes saw time at linebacker for the New England Patriots and made one tackle.

Marcus Gilbert started at right tackle for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Saw action but didn't record a stat: New York Giants wide receiver Louis Murphy, New York Giants defensive end Justin Trattou.
