QB Kurt Warner
Warner's agent continues to negotiate with the Cardinals on a contract extension. According to the East Valley Tribune, the contract will likely include tiers based on how many starts Warner makes.
OLB Karlos Dansby
Dansby was unable to agree on a multi-year deal with the Cardinals before Tuesday's deadline for franchise players. He has a one-year, $8.065 million tender that he has yet to sign. He will become an unrestricted free agent in March unless the Cardinals use the franchise tag again.
WR Early Doucet
Doucet, 6-0, 211, Louisiana State (3/81) signed a three-year deal with Arizona. Financial terms were not disclosed**, although the East Valley Tribune did report the deal includes a signing bonus around $600,000. The Cardinals didn't plan on taking a receiver this early in the draft, but likewise didn't think they could pass on Doucet. He had a disappointing senior year mostly because of a groin injury, and he isn't particularly fast. But the Cardinals think he was a productive player as a junior and could fill the team's No. 3 job, which opened when Bryant Johnson left for the 49ers via free agency.
**Scout.com’s NFL Insider Adam Caplan has reported that rookie receiver Early Doucet has signed a three-year deal with the following base salaries: $295,000 (2008), $385,000 (2009) $470,000 (2010). Doucet also tacked on a $550,000 signing bonus.
