Unhappy Campers Will Report to Camp

Despite being unhappy with their current contracts, Darnell Dockett and Anquan Boldin said they will be at Wednesday's opening of training camp. Calais Campbell joins them with his brand new contract, and Bo Schobel will have to set up camp elsewhere. Read on for details.

WR Anquan Boldin

Boldin's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told the Arizona Republic that his client will be at Wednesday's opening of training camp despite being unhappy with his current contract. Boldin attended the team's mandatory minicamp in May after skipping all voluntary offseason workouts. Boldin's contract runs through 2010 and averages just under $4 million annually, but the team gave fellow receiver Larry Fitzgerald more than $40 million over four years this offseason.

DL Darnell Dockett

Dockett's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told the Arizona Republic that his client would be at Wednesday's opening of training camp despite being unhappy with his current contract. He is seeking a new contract to the five-year deal he signed in 2006. However, with Dockett scheduled to earn $22 million over the life of the deal, GM Rod Graves has said the team will not renegotiate at this time.

Calais Campbell

Campbell, 6-8, 282, Miami (Fla.) (2/50) signed a four-year deal with the Cardinals. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed****. Campbell had a disappointing season in 2007 with only six sacks. But he played great as a sophomore with 20 tackles for loss. He'll back up Darnell Dockett and Antonio Smith but he could figure in the team's nickel packages. On first and second down, he'll play end in the 3-4, but he could move inside when the team goes to a 4-3 front in passing situations. His long frame could give offenses trouble because he should be hard to throw over. Campbell might be a year away from starting.
