Cardinals Notebook: Playoff News and Notes

There’s nothing calm about the Wild Card weekend so far. With Edgerrin James spouting off and Anquan Boldin biting at the chomps to get back in the game, the Cardinals are ready to play. But some Cardinals might have to ride the bench. Here’s the injury situation.

--Running back Edgerrin James has a year remaining on his contract, but said he won't return to the Cardinals in 2009. James was reinserted as the No. 1 back last weekend, but had just 11 carries over an eight-game stretch when rookie Tim Hightower was featured.

"I can't go through this again," James told ESPN. "I didn't come here to block. I'm not an offensive lineman."

--After two extensions by the league, the Cardinals avoided a local television blackout for Saturday's game by selling enough tickets by the 12:30 p.m. Friday deadline.

INJURY IMPACT:

-- S Adrian Wilson (toe) was listed as probable after taking part in all of Friday's practice.

-- WR Anquan Boldin (shoulder) was listed as questionable, but practiced fully Friday and has vowed to play.

-- S Matt Ware (calf) was listed as probable after taking part in all of Friday's practice.

-- LB Pago Togafau (knee) was listed as probable after taking part in all of Friday's practice.

-- TE Stephen Spach (ankle) was listed as probable after taking part in all of Friday's practice.

-- S Aaron Francisco (ribs) was listed as probable after taking part in all of Friday's practice.

-- DT Gabe Watson (knee) was listed as questionable, although he did participate fully Friday.

-- TE Leonard Pope (knee) was listed as questionable, although he did practice fully Friday.

-- DE Travis LaBoy (ankle) was listed as questionable after taking part in limited practice Friday.
