Cardinals to Host Iowa RB Shonn Greene
He is a between the tackles type back who was a producer through and through. But the critics shout he is a one-year wonder. Greene doesn't let it bother him.
"I don't feel disrespected," Greene said. "People will say what they will say. But myself, I go off the numbers. I had 100 yards every game. But that's why we are here [combine], to prove we are the best we can be."
Greene impressed Arizona. He is expected to visit the Arizona Cardinals next week, Scout.com has confirmed.
The powerfully built back is coming off of a very strong Pro Day last month in front of scouts and is projected to go off the board in round two of this month's NFL draft.
For some teams, Greene may not mean go. A red flag is his age. "[Age] could be a factor for some people, but I don't look at it as a risk or anything like that," Greene said. "I'm going to be 24, so it is what it is. I only started for one full season, so I don't have that much wear and tear on me."
A back in round two would allow the Cardinals to go after a top center, outside linebacker or tight end with the No. 31 overall pick.
