The grades are in.. How did the Cardinals do on both sides of the ball against the Houston Texans?

PASSING OFFENSE: A-minus -- The Cardinals were sharp in the first half, as Kurt Warner completed 20 of 23 for 262 yards and two touchdowns. The protection broke down in the second half, however, and the club missed several big-play opportunities.

RUSHING OFFENSE: F -- The Cardinals led by 21 points at halftime yet ran the ball only four times in the second half. The offensive line can't be blamed for producing only 44 yards rushing because it didn't get a chance to clear holes for the backs.

PASS DEFENSE: D -- The Cardinals didn't sack Matt Schaub and rarely pressured him. He passed for 279 yards and two touchdowns in the second half. CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie returned an interception for a touchdown.

RUSH DEFENSE: A -- The Texans averaged just 2.1 yards per carry and didn't try to run in the second half because they were behind by three scores.

SPECIAL TEAMS: C-minus -- The Texans had two long returns, while the Cardinals return teams did little. Calais Campbell blocked his second field goal of the season, and Ben Graham averaged 50.9 yards a punt.

COACHING: B -- The Cardinals won a game they had to, and judging by the results in the first half, the game plans were solid. But the collapse in the second half was disconcerting to say the least. The Cardinals should have put the game away in the third quarter. Instead, they let the Texans come back.
