Find out the latest on Deuce Lutui's status and Larry Fitzgerald's wide receiving camp in Minnesota.
Cardinals sign Roberts to four-year deal
Roberts was a major force for the Bulldogs, setting school career-records with 285 receptions for 3,743 yards and 37 touchdowns. The Columbia native was also an accomplished punt returner, holding the school record with 1,160 return yards.
Roberts joins Larry Fitzgerald, Steve Breaston and Early Doucet in the Cards' talented receiving corps. He is expected to challenge veteran Onrea Jones for the number four receiver spot. Roberts will also join the mix of players vying to replace Breaston as the team's punt returner.
To make room on the roster, the Cardinals cut ties with defensive end Ryan Kees. With Roberts agreeing to terms, defensive tackle Dan Williams along with linebackers Daryl Washington and O'Brien Schofield are the only remaining unsigned rookies. Arizona will have just over two weeks to get them under contract before the start of training camp.
The Cardinals report to Flagstaff on July 29.
