Although the Cardinals have avoided any serious injuries, there are several players out of action.

  • LB Gerald Hayes (back) is on PUP. He underwent back surgery in early July and likely won't practice until early September at the earliest.

  • TE Ben Patrick (displaced kneecap) will miss a couple of weeks of work but is expected to return well before the regular season.

  • OLB O'Brien Schofield (knee) is on the non-football injury list. He is rehabbing from knee surgery in January.

  • DT Dean Muhtadi (strained right calf) was waived/injured.

  • WR Early Doucet (abdominal strain) has missed a couple days of practice but the injury isn't serious.

  • FB Charles Ali (strained hamstring) is out for a few weeks.

  • TE Jim Dray (quadriceps strain) should return soon.

  • CB Trumaine McBride (groin strain) should be fine.

  • S Hamza Abdullah (hamstring) will be out a few weeks.

  • DE Jeremy Clark (groin) won't be out much longer.

  • RB Alfonso Smith (neck/stinger) has missed the past few days of camp.
