Cardinals: Postgame News & Notes
--DL Darnell Dockett played against the Chiefs after missing the previous game with a shoulder stinger. Dockett obviously wasn't 100 percent and did not have an impact on the game.
--RB LaRod Stephens-Howling didn't play against the Chiefs because of a hamstring strain. There is no timetable for his return.
--RB Jason Wright missed the Chiefs game with a concussion. Wright is a good situational player and is excellent on special teams.
--DE Calais Campbell suffered an injury to his left leg and will be evaluated.
--OLB Will Davis suffered a sprained left ankle and will be evaluated as the week progresses.
--OLB Clark Haggans missed the Chiefs game with a groin injury.
LINEUP WATCH: Running back Beanie Wells is healthy again, and it probably won't be long until he returns to the starting lineup. Wells played Sunday against Kansas City, backing up Tim Hightower. Wells had moved into the starting lineup a month ago, but had an adverse reaction to an injection in his knee. Because of the swelling, he barely played in one game and missed another. Wells said he's healthier now than he's been since training camp, and the Cardinals hope that means something positive for their running game. Wells is not only big, 228 pounds, but he has the ability to make defenders on the second level miss.
UNDER THE RADAR: Jeremy Bridges is expected to play right tackle for the rest of the season, and he could actually improve the team's run blocking. Brandon Keith, who started the first nine games, is out for the season with a torn hamstring and cartilage damage in a knee. Bridges is not as good a run blocker as Keith, but he's a savvy veteran who can pass block. That was Keith's weakness. Only in his third year, Keith tended to let his technique slip. He had improved in recent weeks but still gave up more than his share of sacks.
